Here are some of the iconoclastic paths taken by Hult Alumni:
Hult for me was the culmination of a transition phase in my life that saw me move from my previous degree experience (that of a computer scientist) to my current professional adventure (that of an international management consultant).
The strength of the Hult environment was making me realise I had in fact, a whole world (both in the geographical and the business sense) of opportunities ahead of me. I could not have completed this transition without the help of professors, peers, and classes alike, which in short is the Hult Experience.
I think Hult provided me with a really good platform to build my global network. We had students from all over the world and were introduced to local successful people and guest speakers though Hult.
The skills and knowledge I learned help me a lot in my current role. For example, when I’m analysing a company’s financial problem, I make the analysing model based on what I learned at Hult.
I absolutely love the atmosphere at Hult! Everyone is extremely motivated anddetermined to learn and succeed, and the faculty are just the same. The campusitself is beautiful. I would definitely say that the atmosphere at Hult is uplifting. Thereare two inspirational faculty members at Hult that I truly admire: Hannah Greenwoodand Mike Edwards. Both professors were absolutely amazing. I’m so glad to have met them and been mentored by them
"Hult gives me the opportunity to see things from all angles thanks to the wide diversity of the students and faculty on campus"
Before pursuing my MBA at Hult in Boston, I was working at Cognizant Technology Solutionsas a Projects Associate and was working with one of the major European banks in Zurich,Switzerland.
The best thing for me at Hult was the opportunity I got to meet people from very diverse backgrounds and cultures. I am still in close contactwith my cohort. Even after graduation, we would meet up frequently and share contacts whom allowed us to !nd the best job opportunities.
I am currently working in Accenture—Management Consulting’s Financial Services group where we obtain consulting assignments for various!nancial institutes. The skills that I gained during my Hult MBA enable me to have a holistic perspective on projects in my workplace and haveheightened my attention to detail. This combination of skills acquired really helps me to excel in everything I do and also helped me get into theConsulting industry. The MBA from Hult will de!nitely help me in longer terms to progress my career as well.
Culturally, I found it quite easy to settle into London, having previously spent almost two years in Europe. What I did !nd challenging though, was getting used to the hectic Hult curriculum, which was intense from day one. Having said that, I really enjoyed my regular classes, casediscussions, listening to the excellent professors, and even the late-night assignments. My classmates and I also took some time out for socialoccasions during the year, which really brought the class together. The biggest achievement for me was the !nal presentation of our Action Project, which was conducted in front of a client’s senior executives, as it was really well received.
My philosophy on life is that “opportunities are not given – they are seized” which is why I constantly seek and take on new challenges, let it be in my professional or personal life. As a person I am very energetic and social which has formed me into a very constructive team player. I can easily adapt to new situations and handle change in a mature way with a strong need to secure high quality of the work that I hand off. My vision is to always work in a challenging international environment where I can contribute substantially and also be a positive influence on the people around me. Probaly Hult has enriched and given direction to my skills and abilities. I currently work in lean management at a Bank.
I was attracted to Hult because it offered a one-year
intensive program and because of its diverse student body.
I will rotate to Boston for my electives and then return to Dubai to complete my Action Project. I believe that the best way to market myself to prospective employers in the U.A.E. will be to demonstrate working knowledge of international business by completing the hands-on Action Project in a field I plan to pursue a career in.
“I was attracted to Hult by the chance to rotate to other campuses, its one-year intensive program, and the diversity of the student body.”
The Hult experience helped me discover all the opportunities that are out there in the world of business. One of the interests I pursued at Hult was International Strategy.
In my current job at the adidas Group I am involved in high-level global strategies for the adidas wholesale business. The Master program definitely helped me identify this as an area of interest and helped me get off to a successful start.
“The highly inspiring entrepreneurial spirit in San Francisco meant Hultstudents were far more inclined to go on to set up their own business.”
I was involved in the Startupism group at Hult. We organized a major conference with more than 200 attendees and great speakers that spoke on issues related to entrepreneurship and starting your own business. With Startupism, we wanted to raise awareness of the start-up culture both nationally and internationally, and inspire young visionaries to get up and do something that will change the business world.
“Hult has the most international atmosphere I have ever experienced. Great classmates. Great friends. Lots of challenges . . . all at Hult.”

Hult has been an amazing experience. Dream has come true to have friends from around the globe.Students:
Hult truly has international students and all of them have different experience.
Professors: Professors are really good and experienced. They shared some of their experience in class.Guest
Speakers: It has given understanding of the world. Some have big names such has Sir Bob Geldof, Marshall Goldsmith, than a speaker from Burberry and Marketing Director of Pepsi co.
Campus: London was my home campus and San Francisco is Module D and E campus. London has more international students than San Francisco campus. San Francisco is more of Asian campus. It has more students than London campus.
Hult stuff are friendly and helpful from starting to end.
I sometimes feel thats fees is overpriced but when I think about locations, ranking which the Hult as in Financial Times and The Economist. Than in that way it worth it. |
Studying at Hult has been the best year of my life so far. It has been a chapter in my life that I will never forget, and one which has changed the way I feel about my future and my ambitions. It gave me the opportunities to meet people from all over the world and learn about their cultures, knowledge, experiences and making lifelong friendship with them. It also gave me the desire to pursue international opportunities after finishing my studies and I am so glad that I did. I am now working as Overseas Investment Promotion Manager for a Telecom Group, which is investing heavily in expanding into new countries. The skills that I gained from Hult MIB enable me to have a comprehensive perspective and make important decisions on projects at my workplace. I would recommend Hult for higher education and great global experience.
The diversity of my classmates in Hult was incredible. Having more than 50 nationalities in one room meant I could learnabout various cultures and make lifetime friends. And of course, I value the 1-year intensive MBA, which not only saves time, but also trains you to manage your time, work, and still enjoy the whole experience.
Most of my classmates communicate via email to keep updated with everyone’s progress. Those of us who are still in the US try to keep in touch by meeting whenever we are in the same city. It’s great to know that now we have friends all overthe world. The global network keeps us either just a phone call or email away to find out the development in the country, or even just to have a place to bunk when we visit the destination!
The negotiations with the multi-cultural teams in Hult with our diverse classmates during teamwork and projects has helped me in my role, given that there are a lot of negotiations involved in my work. The MBA has helped me land myself in a global role and progress upwards in my career within Citi. I believe in learning as if you were to live forever and make the best of every day. Taking the break from my career was the best decision I made in my life to learn from the worldwide lifetime network friends I have made in Hult. These friendships are the most precious that I have gained here, given that all ourfamily members are miles far away from us.
Language and cultural barriers are no barriers at all when you come with an open mind to accept this “family of yours” whenyou come to Hult. At the end of the day, we are all here for one reason - to learn from one another. It’s not what you learn inthe classroom or the textbooks that makes you who you are, but what you learn through the experiences you gain in Hult and together with your classmates. Most importantly, remember these:
Be truthful, make friends, have a sense of humour, follow your heart’s desires, and be yourself. Never say never, you never know what’s going to happen next. One door that opens now could potentially lead to another one that might be what you want.
With an engineering degree in telecommunications and electronics, I worked for a number of telecom companies as a change analyst, later on worked in healthcare, IT and public sector. With experience in corporate governance ability to solve complex problems made me realize that I need to have an advanced degree in management. Thought it would act as a launch pad for the bigger things like starting my own company.
Necessity for business acumen, negotiation skills, financial,cross-functional team management and international exposure were my key criteria to look into the business school from where I wanted to pursue my masters. Hult International School, London was the obvious choice since it catered to each and every parameter in my checklist. After a fun filled grueling year, Hult lived up to its reputation as the best-ranked school in International exposure.
The education at Hult made me not only enhanced my business skills but also made me a stronger individual in terms of overcoming my innate fears. With one of the best international student body representation, it helped me to understand different market dynamic variables across different countries that help to identify and understand various problems that are existent and enlightens us in a way to develop innovative solutions from brainstorming among different nationalities from different industry experience. This experience helped me to successfully handle multiple client engagements in 4 countries across 3 continents.
Currently we are developing a platform that helps innovative individuals develop ideas that can bring commercial viability with the help of a strong association of industry experts, called IdeaConnects. We are running a pilot to test the stability of the platform by developing couple of innovative product ideas that have significant potential to do well in the market place.
The global international experience from Hult inspired my passion towards teaching take a leap of faith. It enabled me to develop new academic curriculum for universities in India that can add a new dimension to their thought process that can be leveraged in their professional path.
To summarise my journey in the last three years in a sentence.
“All the forces have conjured and conspired in a way to make my dreams a reality.”
What Hult Meant to Me?
Since I graduated from the London Campus, I will keep my Hult review precisely to the experience I personally enjoyed.
Teaching Facilities: The best part of this school is you learn things rather than study concepts. with students over 70 nationalities in a classroom and involved in various team building activities, you know what you are learning. By the end of the course you will gain your own perception and knowledge than the perception of the author you are reading the book of. The computer/wifi/infrastructure provided to the students is world class. The students get access to world class libraries of LSE, ULU. I joined the school when it was ranked 97 as per Financial Times and currently its ranked in early 60’s within 2 years. This shows the progress of the school
Faculty: The school flies in best professors for the subject from around the world for an intense weekly/monthly direct sessions with the students so that one can gather three different perceptive to a problem, 1) the author of the book 2) the teacher's/class/team perspective and 3) your own perspective.
Placements: The career service helps you developing your CV and gives guidance to career development through various career development sessions all throughout the course. They help you at all levels of application/assessment centers or interviews. Numerous career fairs are provided. 70% of my batch got placed within 1 month of graduation. Best recommended for budding entrepreneurs, consultants or venture capitalist.
Overall Feedback: The team and the experience i had with the school was tremendous and it was extremely satisfying. By the end of the year i had networked with friends and colleagues from more than 70 different nationalities, The peer group and the team activities i had during my course time was amazing and worth appreciating about. It was a pleasure to be with such a group of international friends and alumnus. The team building and activities were mere exercise of mapping the differences, bridging and integrating into one team.
I am totally clueless as to where to start from. Let me just tell you my Hult story so far. When I first visited the San Francisco Hult Campus, I was just okay with it. The ambience, the approach of Hult Staff, the structure of the school was modern in its approach and it was not what i had expected. My School campus looked corporate in nature. But then I realized, Hult is a business school, differentiates itself as a modern Business School.
As the days went by past the tool box, I got to the first class of MFIN class; I had still not reeled from my lousy thought process regarding the Hult Family and the course because I was still getting into the music of the city, San Francisco. I was more than excited and obnoxiously happy about the things happening around me.
Then soon come the big boom of Mod A finals, which almost slapped down all my eccentricity in one go. A tight reality slap. I was marked at the red line of being getting chucked out from Hult. Like every other low scoring student, I tried to pass the buck onto someone else. I started vehemently putting blames on my Hult professors and staff for my poor performance.
As I tried to find my happy place, I realized there were students in my very own class who were getting straight A’s and scoring reasonably well with exactly the same resources as me. And since I also got into the same Business school, my aptitude (with an IIT background) would be same as theirs. And thus began my introspection and I realized I needed to put my foot down and concentrate on what I really came to Hult for. The first thing I did was meet the assistant Dean of Hult San Francisco campus. She guided me on the course and I can proudly say she is the one responsible for my marks ever since. *Knockwood*
My Assistant dean Anellia is the one who brought a sea change in my thought process towards my course, my attitude towards the school and everything. The transformation from almost getting kicked out of school to being amidst the decent scorers is purely because of my professors, TA, Assistant Dean, and Staff at Hult. I owe gratitude.
As the saying goes, “When you want something badly in life, the whole universe conspires to give it to you”, this is exactly what happened to me. I got more than the much needed support from my TA (Ivan), to achieve what I am achieving today. Assistant Dean who was more than willing to answer my relentless number of questions which gave me the confidence and morale to excel.
The Profs hold excellent command over the subject, answer never tiring questions from all the students at any time of the day all throughout the course. The best thing about the profs at Hult is they have had previous field experience. For all the forthcoming students or the current ones, always remember Hult staff is there to help you all throughout, but you need to ask for the guidance.
Once you overcome the shyness to ask for help, there is just no stopping back. This is what I feel makes Hult stand out brightly and loudly from all the other business schools. Hult is now my family. And Hult is now the stepping stone to my future.Hult brings out the best in you. It will test you day in and out to bring the best out of you. Hult moulds you to be the best to beat the best. I simply LOVE Hult.

Its very simple, best time of my life. Uni, professors, subjects, exams, staff were excellent. But people make a place memorable. I have met amazing, young, ambitious people who knew what they wanted to achieve, but above all i have met friends for lifetime. I would recommend Hult as a step for further education, successful career and unforgettable moments with lifetime friends. |

I came to Hult as an average Indian dreamer, little did I know it was going to turn my vision into a driven desire to explore more of myself.
Well everyone has MBA expectations, so did I. A better paycheck, an improved lifestyle and everything that spells comfort. Throughout the year I learnt one of the most important lessons, "Follow thy passion and you'll never curse work again". Being an avid blogger from the early days I did get that moulded in my regime and the evolution started in the school itself. The Yearbook phootshoot project made me ponder, as to why it took me so many years to realise my passion for photography and that did seed my business idea. I was toying with the idea for the entire year and finally gathered the courage to start up a photography venture coupled with my blogging experience. I may not be there at the peak but i'm at least on my path. And I will value Hult for giving me that confidence to put the step ahead.

Hult is a truly international experience far more than what i expected before joining the school. The most important aspect is that you build a network of friends from all over the world. Also choosing london as base campus in a way gives you the experience of global culture and is a great city to live. As a future business perspective HULT gives a very good platform to build your own network globally and various job opportunities they provide from the very beginning of ur course. I think only some colleges offer this. But i am not realizing that my time is going soo quickly, i hope this could have been be 2 years course instead of one.

I'll be honest I was anxious before joining HULT since it is a relatively new school but my experience was better than I expected. Through the last year, I had a great time studying as well as living in London & San Francisco. A business degree is not just about making reports, giving exams and that's exactly what I experienced at HULT thanks to the numerous groups & individual projects along with various networking events organized through the year. The action project especially was a vivid experience in terms of learning and understating. I miss my time at HULT & I'd love to come back to school soon!

The journey started once, I met the HULT representatives at an event in december 2011. Thats where I first got to know the name of the school. My criteria's were simple, I was looking for a school to learn more about entrepreneurship and gain a good network in the said field from the current student body and the alumni. After working for a year I applied for HULT London campus and successfully got into the MIB course and I was amazed with what I got in the school so far in my journey here. HULT is very different from what we hear or read from the blogs online, something to be experienced for yourself and I can sure say that it doesn’t disappoint.I am also running the entrepreneurship club here which has given me the platform to explore further in the field. I have done many events and bought quality speakers to the school with this platform and was always supported by the school. Not to mention, the rotation program offered by HULT is brilliant and allows you study in 3 different continents, if you choose to, in just a span of a year. The course at times pushes you towards your studies and is always backed up with some fun time.So far my experience has been excellent and specifically delivers what I was looking for. I hope to have even better experiences here in my remaining tenure

Sanyanth Naroth
Class of 2013, MSE
Hult San Fransesco
I chose Hult because of their unique Master’s Program in “Social Entrepreneurship”. How was my overall Hult experience? Fantastic! Here’s why. I remember stepping out of the San Francisco Airport with my guitar, a tennis racket, two suitcases and an open heart, it was approximately 11am and sun was shining bright. I looked up and thanked my blessings, and also said to myself, “Waahh, so this is America”. I just could not believe it. Everything happened so fast back in India- My plans to join Hult, the final acceptance, goodbyes, and all of a sudden I’m on the other side of the world. San Francisco is really the epicenter of Innovation, entrepreneurship and paradise of anything bizarre. The Hult building is located in the heart of financial district and close to almost anywhere fun. The minute I’m inside the building familiar faces, colors, accents and hugs greet me warmly. My batch was the smallest in number, little less the 45 students out of which almost 30 came from a different country. You will get this from almost any Hult student, “We all came from diverse backgrounds and cultures, but after few months you will know that we’re all the same, really”. We will know that some stereotypes are false and funnily enough, some are almost true. Working with a hugely diverse group is a massive learning opportunity and many companies are looking for people who brings this experience.
About the teachers, I have to applaud the management for finding such genius individuals who are also actual social change-makers apart from teaching. What better way and people to learn from. Everyone professor brought something unique that they left for us to take away. There is really no particular way to teach social entrepreneurship and therefore professors took advantage to try things differently, an approach I embraced. The good thing was the work load was just enough to keep us busy and have a good social life at the same time. Utilizing your free time is very important because San Francisco has so much to offer with countless interesting events happening every day. I went to many networking events too, but to be honest these events are attended by people who are helpless and jobless. In a place like San Francisco, you are more likely to land yourself in a job from a bar than a standard job application process. If you don’t drink, fill a glass with water and don’t be afraid to do the talking.Once you are out of your house,it is inevitable that you crash into interesting people doing phenomenal stuff…in my case, I was out almost every time I got an opportunity. What made my experience better? As much as I love people from my country, India, I made sure that I did not hangout with them all time. I stayed with 3 awesome students doing a different Master’s program and from different countries: Greece, Turkey and Vietnam. This made sure I also knew other students from different cohorts and programs, try new cuisines and show-off your own cuisine.
A lot of interesting student organized clubs are formed in Hult and I helped create one too called the SoBiz (social business club) which still grows strong with the new batch of students. Hult students will know people from so many countries, but they may not have local friends(in our case local American friends)…therefore I hung out in places where the locals go too. In San Francisco, I would recommend Madrone Art bar. Hult’s got talent was fun. I participated, sang a song with a Norwegian, we lost…not even third place... surely the judges had terrible taste in music and I still feel we deserved first. The action project was my highlight of the year. While few close friends of mine went along to win the Hult Prize regionals, they needed to test the idea in real before the final presentation at the Clinton Global Initiative. So, we came in and made it happen as part of our action project! Me along with one girl from Italy and a guy from Canada left to India to conduct an intensive pilot in 2 urban slums of Gujarat. We were able to use all our learnings from the university into action and yes, the pilot was successful.
We also had the opportunity to go to New York for the HultPrize competition and be in a room filled with the most powerful people on the planet. I spoke with the one person who influenced me into taking up social entrepreneurship – Prof Muhammad Yunus. Few weeks before my graduation, I got a mail from Hult’s student services staying that I was elected to speak as the Social Entrepreneurship class representative for the pre graduation event. Such a great honor…infact too good to be true that I wrote back to them asking “Hey, is the a spam mail?” Wow, who would have imagined all this was possible when I was applying to Hult from a nasty apartment in Gurgaon, Delhi…a time when I did not have any clue of my next step in life, just a strong determination to do good. Well, my life at Hult definitely made me a stronger confident human being. I’m well connected to people doing incredible things globally. My professional portfolio looks better than ever. The Hult experience does not stop in the classroom, it begins there and I’m living it to the fullest.
I often get plenty of queries about HULT from probable MBA individual. Time is not going to permit to achieve that, although it’s generally a enjoyment to aid candidates with my encounter. So, I assumed to put my MBA practical experience succinctly in kinds of ratings for simple usage. It is not extensive but will provide a fair concept.
I created this Graph to show my scores at several essential things with time. I wish to emphasize the fact that a few things i got was rather -pleasantly- better than what I expected.
Aug-10: Prior to joining HULT, I did so my substantial study along with this effect of HULT.
Sep-10: 4 weeks in to the program and I also really received the true style - initial impact. A great deal of common myths got shattered.
Apr-11: Midsection of my trip. All things seem to be resolved and real HULT promising.
Aug-11: Conclusion of system. My ratings reflect my final perception about HULT. This is exactly what I bought from HULT and now show to all.
My expertise at HULT was great. It’s an existence changing year, which I will value for a long time. I acquired a great deal and produced long term good friends. I signed up with HULT with many different apprehensions, but it turned into among my finest selections possibly. HULT surpassed my requirements in most areas (except job professional services). HULT truly is a wonderful school, loaded with possibilities & promises, and that I would suggest it.

My MBA days at Hult through the year 2000 to 2001 happen to be the very best so far. I used to be extremely keen on undertaking an MBA when i was rusting my brains doing a monitors work in Africa. As I loved residing in Africa, I started to think that I used to be dwelling a life of purposeless. I needed to discover a new meaning in life.
While on my way to India, I glanced after a guide "Which MBA" with the Amsterdam School airport terminal. I experienced a number of WebPages and was hooked on it. I lastly purchased it and look at it on my own way to India and once I had been way back in Africa. Thoughts of doings a MBA started to crystallize in my brain. I come to be critical and offered GMAT and TOEFL. I went over a holiday towards the States and started began correspondence with a lot of MBA colleges which includes HULT. The substantial selection of nationalities displayed in HULT triggered my program to HULT.
I took a bit of time over to match the Hult International Business School DEAN along with the admin staff during a trip towards the States. The workers were considerate and were impressed using their study course content. Once I had been in class, I had been kind of misplaced because i was learning after having a gap of nearly a decade. Started off having the hang up from the MBA course load in the near future, despite the fact that i struggled for a month.
The Instructors were experts in their right. Each one of these influenced me using their physique of expertise and training abilities. The program information was quite present and teaching was experiential. The best part of my study at Hult was the interaction I had with international college students. The class of 60 individuals symbolized 26 nationalities. It had been an awesome cross-cultural experience and started to take pleasure in diverse customs and countries. It dawned on me that “there is not any correct solution" and “there a wide range of strategies to strategy a problem and solve it". This international publicity was helpful to me while I was getting my feet with “FORD Electric motor Business" in Britain. Whilst the pupils were competitive, these people were also sympathetic and beneficial. I have got manufactured close friends for life and that is things I benefit hugely.
I got selected in Producing Management Program at Ford Engine Firm within my previous semester at HULT. I am just happy to HULT and my other pupils for including a new dimension to my life and providing me a whole lot inside delight. Before I did so my MBA, My knowledge of financing was zilch. But right after the MBA, I better like a professional in addition to a particular person.
I am a businessperson and work my own, personal contacting business. I really like my act as I am using principles unheard away from in businesses which are thought to be away from bounds for asking businesses. International standpoint that I produced at HULT that is among essential accomplishment factors within my progress as a businessperson. That's it. I appreciate HULT as well as its personnel as well as my girlfriends who produced by encounter so special.
Hult was chosen by me in 2007 for two reasons; 1) Boston 2) Multicultural , diverse class.
What I got was exponentially more. As I had gone there to learn and not to earn just a degree. Hults Professors were a surprise, specially in modules where one chooses the subjects one wish to pursue.I opted for New Product Development, International Negotiations ( Prof. Courtin ). These were people with decades of experience in different industries, some even advisors for companies like IBM, Philips and GE.
During my time we had an option of doing a white paper. I did on Strategy of Solar Energy players. This resulted in honing my skills as an MBA, as a technologist and as marketer. Simplicity was reinforced by my guide Prof Courtin, who himself is bookworm and has led or advised around 30 companies in his young life of around 70 yrs.
But my best resources were my classmates. From 5 years to 22 years, from Peru to South Korea. I not only learnt domains but cultures, foods, innovations , soft skills like what to converse over a business deal in Brazil or Japan.
Professors were always eager to support and I had a good time eating their brains out on solutions, innovations and marketing of my company, Vasudha Projects.
Prof. Hitendra Patel's Innovation classes were super heavy , yet innovatively fun. Later I worked with him on a project of sustainability, which became the mainstay of our business with tagline , "sustainnovations".
Our company has still not got into solar but new domains like Water treatment, waste management, Food processing all opened up due to my learnings at Hult. We did a live project with CERA ( Cambridge Energy Reserach Associate, one of the biggest energy consulting firm ) and I proposed water as a domain, which was later accepted by the board.
Besides that Boston as a city of Innovation and diversity itself was a huge learning experience for me. Shanghai in our 3rd module was icing on the cake.
Caution: if someone is looking for a visa of US or work in the countries of our 5 campuses or looking for big fat pay just after graduating, then Hult might not be the right place for you. This despite the fact that no B school will guarantee one with jobs.
If you wish to learn and enjoy at the same time, Hult is the best place.
WHY HULT
I was intrigued by the prospect of a one-year intensive MBA at Hult versus the usual two and half years. I wanted to know more about the school, so I did my research and then went to one of the alumni gatherings in Atlanta. I was so impressed by quality of people that Hult was attracting.I was also impressed by the positive entrepreneurial attitude of the alumni I met. They were all very informed about campus life.
MY LIFE AT HULT
Hult features an energetic culture steeped in diversity and global awareness—the bond between classmates is very strong and supportive. While we are all competitive by nature, we do not battle again one another, but rather challenge each other to make the most of every moment of this experience. The insights that come from having classmates from different industry backgrounds with differing experiences and a variety of international backgrounds provides a broader perspective of the world.
The students' need for knowledge and the professors' desire to facilitate this need creates a symbiotic relationship, which generates higher levels of expectation on both sides. Having open-door access to Hult's deans and staff is one of the most valuable assets on campus. Their expectations drive our ambition, and yet they are passionately supportive in every aspect of our educational experience.
The London Dean, Nawtej Dosanjh is one of the most effective educators at the school. Nawtej or 'Nuff', as we know him, is without a doubt the 'light' that steers us in the right direction. He offers us the strength to meet the demands of the future without fear. When we became frustrated he encouraged us to take a deep collective breath—to broaden our perspectives and become more enlightened. Every lecturer I have encountered at Hult has offered at least one really good piece of advice. But you can always count on Nawtej to listen, ponder, and respond reflectively. Every class with Professor Abdey and Kastner contained an impressive range of memorable quotes. It was the first time I had ever laughed in a math class or cried in an operations class. The lessons from each class often intertwined with those from others. This is how the programs function as a whole, and that makes the MBA modules both challenging and exciting.
If I had to describe Hult in one word, it would have to be FUN! Every day I cross the Thames in the morning and the evening and I never fail to be thrilled by the view. I pinch myself, grin, and scream:'I am in LONDON!' I am constantly amazed by the beauty and history of this city and will miss it desperately when I return to the States. But knowing that my friends will be scattered across the globe gives me comfort, as I know that the sun is always shining on a Hult alum somewhere across the globe. And, I know I have a place to stay should I end up there one day!
Friendships with classmates were established from our very first team building session: an outing in the rain! That experience created really solid foundations for our future. The team meetings and dinners have helped to develop our friendships in ways we could have never have expected. We learned to listen actively and think before responding. Friendships have been forged that would not have occurred otherwise, and they may in fact be the strongest bonds we can develop. Sixteen of us went to Beirut together for Spring Break and had the best time ever!
On campus I am a member of Hult's Global Society of Women in Business and Hult's Social Responsibility Club. I also participate in activities with the Culture Club and the Dinner Club. Outside of school I am a member of the Transport For London's International Toastmaster's Club, Tube Talk.
A GLOBAL HULT EXPERIENCE
The clinching factor for me was the Global Campus Rotation program. I've always wanted to take the global mindset of business a step further to understand other cultures first-hand. I also wanted to experience what a change in location could do to broaden my perspectives—I have not been disappointed. In wanting to obtain an MBA, I feel studying at Hult was the best decision I could have made.
I will be rotating to Dubai in Module D and then returning to London for Module E. I have chosen Dubai because I want to experience the Middle East in a secure context. As a student there, I will be able to examine the business concepts of global companies which have invested there. For this module, Hult is also offering a great selection of electives and the incredible opportunity to work on developing business solutions for a leading company.
MY CAREER
I want to use my MBA to propel my career in a way which will serve humanity and encourage others to strive for more. More can be so many things, but the most important word here is 'strive'. Hult has deepened my knowledge; given me the opportunity to explore life at a deeper level and to encourage others to raise their expectations. Hult is a springboard for opportunity—we just have to be willing to take the plunge.

Hult Dubai
WHY HULT
I wanted to undertake an MBA in order to get a wider view of today’s business environment. I chose Hult specifically in order to gain exposure to new cultures and because Hult afforded opportunities to live indifferent parts of the world, while obtaining an internationally recognized degree.
MY LIFE AT HULT
I realized how truly multinational an environment the campus was during the first week of class. Professors such as Patrick Court in, who taught Real World Decisions and International Negotiations in Shanghai led very interesting and rewarding classes that continue to serve me well. Patrick shared his valuable lessons as a CEO and helped us think like one. His determination to create a real-world environment in the classroom made his courses extremely interesting and valuable. He taught with amazing passion and made us want to absorb every single word that he mentioned.
Academic milestones during my time at Hult were the hands-on projects, and the last week of class in which I realized how much knowledge I had gained.
I was enthusiastic about extra-curricular Hult activities. I was Director of Finance for the Business Development Club, organizer of the Hult Global Case Challenge (now Hult Prize) in Dubai, and volunteer for TedEx Hult Shanghai. I was also involved in the Dubai Hult Mentorship Program and I enrolled in the mini-MBA for Women in 2011, in addition to regular participation in networking events. Following graduation, I was involved as a Tutor and Teaching Assistant for professors at the Hult Dubai campus.
A GLOBAL HULT EXPERIENCE
Whether it was through my classmates, professors, the global guest speakers, or the Hult Global Case Challenge (now Hult Prize), Hult allowed me to interact with people from ALL over the world. I selected Dubai as my home campus and Shanghai as my rotation campus because I wanted to experience very different parts of the world where I had never been before. I loved Dubai from the moment I landed there and I knew that I wanted to work here after graduation. The professors and classmates that I had the privilege to interact with in both Dubai and Shanghai helped me learn a lot about life outside of my Canadian comfort zone. I owe my MBA degree to the wonderful people from all over the world who have helped me to learn and grow.
MY CAREER
The MBA from Hult allowed me to extend my international experience, after graduating I obtained a Finance Manager position in an international oil and gas service company in Abu Dhabi.
WHY HULT
My work experience in the oil and gas industry allowed me to analyze processes and directions, but my position in the company and lack of expertise meant that I wasn't able to make changes. My undergraduate education in commerce allowed me to develop skills in analysis, problem solving, and communication. However, I lacked the practical skills necessary to thrive in a management role. I felt that a Master at Hult would sharpen my existing business skills while giving me the opportunity to develop my understanding of the global marketplace.
MY LIFE AT HULT
The environment at Hult was warm, friendly, and fostered discussion. Indeed, my most memorable experience at Hult was tea with the Dean. Once a month tea and cookies were provided after class—this gave us an opportunity to mix and mingle with classmates as well as faculty, and you could bring up any questions or concerns in a casual setting. I was a member of the committee of students organizing the first Annual Global Case Challenge (now Hult Prize) in London. I spent most of my free time traveling. I explored all of the U.K. and numerous other European countries during my year in London. Hult's student body was so diverse that I was learning about different cultures and receiving continual recommendations on what to see and do nonstop, plus I always had a friend willing to play tour guide. I decided to pursue an internship to enhance my studies at Hult. As most employers demand experience, the internship elective allowed me to gain the experience necessary to be competitive in the job market upon graduation. The internship perfectly complemented my studies as I was able to work with the same company I was employed at prior to Hult, but in the U.K. office. The role gave me experience in international business, as it required me to work with numerous subsidiaries and affiliate companies all over the world. I stay connected with alumni via social media (Facebook, LinkedIn). I haven't had the opportunity to attend any group gatherings but plan on doing so in the future.
A GLOBAL HULT EXPERIENCE
The global connections continue once you leave Hult. I receive texts and emails on a daily basis from classmates from around the world. My class was an incredibly diverse group of individuals that has moved on to great opportunities all over the world. I am kept up to date with current events, and feel more connected to foreign affairs because I may know someone that is involved.
I am returning to Hult to complete an MBA in 2013 and plan on taking advantage of the Global Campus
Rotation opportunity then.
MY CAREER
After completing the Master program at Hult I obtained a full-time role at the company I had interned with prior to my studies. Hult enabled me to develop new skills and align my professional goals with my aspirations, which means I am now able to influence decision-making within the organization.
WHY HULT
I researched each school thoroughly when I was applying for my Master degree. There were two aspects of Hult that I was fascinated by; the professors' fantastic CVs and the Global Campus Rotation program to campuses in other parts of the world. I believe a truly international experience is vital when studying international business so I chose Hult and it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made.
MY LIFE AT HULT
The atmosphere is the best part of Hult; because we are all international students, everywhere you lookthere is someone from a different country. Everyone is open to meeting new people and getting to know where are you from, and discovering your perspectives. At my previous university I was always a number not a name; at Hult I found it fantastic that the staff and faculty treat you as an individual, The campus teams also help you develop friendships and increase your networking opportunities by offering a range of activities after class. I joined a few clubs whilst I was at Hult, such as the Model United Nations and Women's Soccer Club, and I also assisted with activities off campus such as the Running in Blue charity race, cultural festivities and much more.
The course I enjoyed most at Hult was International Strategy as all of the case studies from the classes have helped me guide my current department to make the right decisions. I was able to use different examples of international expansion and apply it to my current job. Thanks to Hult I was also able to combine several cases I had used in class and develop an effective strategy for future growth.
My most memorable times at Hult where when we were taking part in the activities outside of the classroom and getting to know each other better. I got to know different people from all over the world and we were always discovering new places together, which was a great adventure.
A GLOBAL HULT EXPERIENCE
I rotated to Boston and Shanghai. Shanghai was at the back of my mind from the beginning. If I was going to have the opportunity to live on the other side of the world there was no doubt I was going to take it. I went to the Global Alumni Summit in Bali and discovered a friendly network that is always open to helping you reach your goals. At the summit I realized that the network that Hult offers is far more varied and interesting than I had previously imagined. Hult alumni are active in so many different fields all over the world, so my network is truly diverse.
MY CAREER
After completing my degree I returned to Ecuador to set up the international business department of an investment bank which I now manage. We contact different investors and plan to become the center of investment for Latin America. I am currently working on feasibility projects for different sectors, such as mining and health.
I am also setting up my own company which will export organic products, create an organic greenhouse and offer a consultancy service to help other farms go organic. This will be a pro-nature and social project that I am starting with my family and a few other business partners. Hult exposed me to so many different real-life cases and examples of success and failure, the lessons I learned from these I am now applying in my current job and very soon will do the same in my future business.
WHY HULT
I chose Hult because I wanted the most international experience of my life. I wanted to travel the world, to meet new people from different countries and backgrounds, and I wanted to experience living in two amazing cities in just one year. I also appreciated the fact that I could complete a Masters degree in just one year and study at a business school that offered a practical learning approach.
MY LIFE AT HULT
I must say my time with friends were the most memorable moments at Hult. I had a lovely, big family for a year and we all complemented each other in one way or another, even though we were all from different countries.
David James and Ben Hart, who taught New Product Development and Digital Marketing respectively, were the most inspiring faculty members I encountered at Hult. It was inspiring to find teachers that care about your daily learning and that push students to their limits and to achieve their potential. They were deeply passionate about teaching and you could clearly feel this, in every single class.
A GLOBAL HULT EXPERIENCE
The atmosphere at Hult was very multicultural with different opinions coming from all over the world and exotic and fascinating backgrounds to learn from.Having classmates from 78 countries just made this happen. Mixing the nationalities in the groups we worked in every module was also key to achieving this global network.
My home campus was London but I rotated to San Francisco for the last two modules. There were so many cultural differences, in terms of food, night-life, tech orientation, doing business or negotiating, and much more. All these changes and the adaptation process were definitely life-changing experiences.
I learned that adaptation processes have to be quick and smart. Take what you have and do your best. Search for available resources and start working; if not available, find other ways.
MY CAREER
My post-graduation career goal was to join a big company where I could feel happy and proud every day. Hult helped to achieve all the soft skills needed to convince an employer of my suitability during an interview. Hult also helped me to map out my professional path and follow it, and to be confident of what I know and can become. The school also helped me to understand how to join a new group, work on a new project, and easily adapt myself to dynamic environments.
The orientation day was really good and made for a very positive start to my year here. During orientation, I was able to feel what this whole year was going to be about—friends from all over the world and different cultures. I would describe Hult with just one word: unique. This school is different—in a good way. Since my very first day, I have been getting to know people from all over the world, trying to learn how to say “hello” in Chinese, Japanese, Bulgarian, Punjabi, German, Russian, and many other languages, which is just awesome. Having dinner while doing teamwork is also really nice and consolidates those international friendships.
All of my courses have been excellent and enjoyable—the Understanding the Costumer, Digital Marketing, and Advertising courses have provided me with broad and varied knowledge bases. Our Assistant Dean Anellia has encouraged us to study hard and always keep up with the workload. She is a wonderful Assistant Dean, and every time I see her on campus, we have a quick chat and I always end up feeling inspired. I joined a couple of clubs at the beginning of Module A. People around the campus are very active and you can find lots of activities to do, in my case soccer, basketball, and digital marketing.
The atmosphere at Hult is warm, relaxed, and friendly. In classes, the teachers encourage us to participate, and all comments are well received by most professors. I’d have to say that, for me, the most memorable moments at Hult have been inside the classroom where I’ve had the opportunity to practice my presentation skills.
The professors are real motivators. Marty Manley and Larry Louie both stand out for me. They have a great vibe and have inspired confidence in me towards Hult. It’s always nice to have them come meet us randomly after class and even just seeing them around the campus. They openly demonstrate their concern for our education; you’d have to be blind in order to ignore their good intentions. I think the reason they are so inspirational for me is that I admire good, friendly, and dedicated people. My favorite class to date has been Advertising. The class is cool and John Durham is phenomenal. He’s managed to make us want to continue my learnings outside of class too.
where you can actually enjoy studying for tests or working on assignments on campus. The most memorable moments of my time at Hult were during the orientation period where I had the opportunity to meet members of different cohorts. We had a scavenger hunt activity which was a really fun way to explore the city with my team members. Since then, I've been elected Hult Student Association representative for my cohort, so I retain a strong connection with the student body. This is complements the already very close bond and trust built between team members from working on group projects such as the Toolbox.
I am really enjoying attending my classes, especially Advertising with John Durham; he shares his great knowledge and experience with his students, and is passionate about his subject, which in turn really engages us students.

AMAZING LIFE AT HULT
So far I have been involved in the Hult Consultancy Club (HCC), the Hult Prize, and the Lindt Consulting project. As President of the HCC, I am responsible for relations with stakeholders both within and outside the university. The HCC is Hult’s largest society with more than 180 members, acting as a platform to connect students with practitioners. So far our keynote speakers have included employees from both McKinsey & Company and Ernst & Young.
The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The interaction between student body and faculty is very personable, and issues may be raised at any time and at any level of the hierarchy. Discussions are respectful and informal. Participation and teamwork both inside and outside the classroom is well above that of an average university, leading to a challenging and interesting environment.
The most memorable moments relate to the time spent working in teams. By putting together students from different cultural, personal, and professional backgrounds, Hult forces us to look at issues from different perspectives and find solutions everyone in the group can relate to. These situations not only help improve my cultural understanding and leadership abilities, but also encourage me to reflect on my own background and how it has shaped my opinion of things.
Ajay Bhalla, Professor of Global Management, has been the greatest inspiration to me so far. In Prof. Bhalla’s class students were challenged to think critically and go beyond the obvious to uncover the real drivers behind key issues shaping today’s world. Topics discussed in class varied from the organizational design all the way to leadership styles. Prof. Bhalla’s teaching style encouraged me to develop my capabilities beyond what I expected to be possible at this stage in my career. Ajay Bhalla was exceptional, encouraging students to develop and stretch themselves beyond their self-set limits and exceed their own expectations. Additionally, the class material was challenging and applicable to real business challenges. The learning curve was particularly steep and the course required substantial preparation and participation. Looking back, the effort definitely proved fruitful and I have grown because of it.
The international aspect of Hult was the decisive factor in my decision to enroll. I wanted to stay in the U.S., but have an international experience. There is not a lot of Master in marketing programs available, particularly not in attractive locations. I preferred the one-year Master for financial reasons. I was living on the East Coast at the time and was looking for a reason to get back to the West Coast. Hult International Business School in San Francisco was the perfect excuse!
While researching Master programs across the world, I began to notice that many were very costly two year programs, and in locations I was not interested in. Hult stood out as being unique. It offered a Master's degree in International Business, which is exactly what I was looking for. The one-year timeframe was perfect and the thought of studying across the world at one of Hult's many appealing campuses really sealed the deal for me.
WHY HULT
I was attracted to Hult and the Master of International Marketing (MIM) program due to Hult’s international Campus Rotation program and the Action Project. Also, I appreciated Hult’s focus on practical knowledge, as opposed to theory.
MY LIFE AT HULT
The atmosphere on campus and in the classroom is both friendly and work-oriented at the same time. So far I have found all of my classes to be rewarding due to the structure of our work. As MIM students, we do a lot of class presentations, often to actual clients. This format has taught me to work in a team setting and made me confident to be able to handle any project that I may face in the real world—even this early in the school year. We also have wonderful faculty members here at Hult that guide the classes so well.
I am getting involved in as many activities as I can on campus. I have joined the Digital Marketing, Consulting, Tennis, and Food & Beverage clubs. So far I have helped to organize Thanksgiving, which is part of the cultural event series that Student Services hosted. I will also be taking part in the Boston information session, since I used to live in Boston and plan on moving back there after graduation. The most inspiring person that I have met at Hult so far is a speaker that was part of an entrepreneurial series here on campus. He reminded me of why I love business and how the skills that I am learning today will help me as an entrepreneur tomorrow. He also gave me practical advice to help move my career forward.
I have already had quite a few memorable moments at Hult, even though Module A is just ending. Some of these have included: traveling to Morocco with a small group of classmates (for the best trip of my life so far!); becoming friends with the most unexpected people who I hope to keep in contact with long after graduation; being pushed emotionally and physically by the course load and succeeding all the same; and falling in love with London enough to consider moving here, which has been totally unexpected.
A GLOBAL HULT EXPERIENCE
I plan to rotate to Dubai because I want first-hand business experience in an emerging market. Also, I think that living and studying in a culture that is very different than my own will allow me to develop my international perspective about business and my understanding of different cultural values.
MY CAREER
My post-Master ambitions are to work for an ecommerce company, or at a consulting firm. My Master from Hult will help me achieve this goal, because we gain a practical skill set here. The program at Hult is focused on developing its students to be ready to enter the job market upon graduation, not to just leave with a diploma. I want to also add that the faculty and staff at Hult are really supportive in helping you get to where you want to go. If you express interest, desire, or passion about something – be it academic, professional, or social – they help you make it happen. They respond quickly to our needs as students, both as a group and as individuals.
When I first decided to return to grad school I had it in my mind I was going to go to an Ivy League University and they were the only places I should look. One day when I was working at Cambridge Energy Research Associates, I drove by a billboard advertising Hult International Business School.
At the time I hadn't heard about Hult and was intrigued to find out more. I went online and searched for Hult. There I found out it was the new name for the former, Arthur D. Little School of Management. I was really intrigued as Arthur D. Little was an iconic school that everyone in Boston knew. I continued to research Hult and as I learned more about what it had to offer, especially the rotation program. I felt this could be a good place to study.
The most appealing aspect of Hult for me was the diversity of the student body, and the chance to liveand study in one of the world's most vibrant cities, London.
I came from a small town in Louisiana, and hadn't been exposed to many other cultures before. The Master of International Business program catapulted me into a classroom that resembled a mini version of the United Nations, and it was incredible to hear people from all corners of the world put across their views as they answered the professor's questions.
It's a small point but since graduating my Facebook newsfeed is now filled with all sorts of languages which is fascinating. On a larger scale, my time at Hult exposed me to some very driven and
entrepreneurial people whom I'd like to work with again soon.
AMAZING LIFE AT HULT
I was initially attracted to Hult because of the great diversity you experience in the lassroom. While researching possible graduate schools, no other school featured such a diverse student body. Hult was the only school that could offer me that kind of unique experience.
My post-Master ambition is to be able to find a business-related job. This is the field I am hoping to break into shortly after graduation. Hult will help me get there because I now have a solid grasp of business concepts which, coming from a non-business background, has been a vital step.
In Hult classrooms, the professors create a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. They are always receptive to questions and are really there to help students succeed. By bringing their own experiences into lectures, they help students understand how to apply the topics to real life.

Hult Boston
The atmosphere on campus directly reflected the atmosphere of our surrounding environment in Shanghai. There is a general feeling of optimism and opportunity that stems from the hundreds of students on campus who are empowered daily to achieve the goals they had set for themselves when they first began at Hult.
Things happen very quickly at Hult as you not only experience a new world in whichever location you choose, but you are also exposed to various new cultures and perspectives. You are presented with numerous challenging business cases and projects, and pushed to discover your own strengths and learn how to apply them in new ways.
The professors draw every student into each lesson and give them an opportunity to add value. I participated in a variety of on campus clubs/activities including the Marketing Club, Finance Club, and the launch of TEDx Hult Shanghai.
Hult was an excellent option for me because I considered that the faculty had a lot of professional as well as teaching experience. The multicultural and multi-industry nature of the student body, plus its average age (above average) was another advantage since a lot of learning comes from interaction with classmates. The one-year duration of the program was interesting since I needed to return to work quickly (I was married with a one-year old son).
I really liked the project where a team of students completes a consulting project for an external firm. It was an excellent way to learn and gain confidence using consulting tools, as well as to apply some of the concepts we learned at school. It was great to work in a multicultural team with different backgrounds. Off campus, I used to go to conferences at other schools such as MIT, Harvard, or Babson, and to events in Boston such as work fairs.
My Journey with Hult
WHY HULT
Three main factors attracted me to Hult: first and foremost Hult's Global Campus Rotation program;secondly the fact it offered a one-year MBA program, and thirdly the opportunity to study with studentsof more than 70 different nationalities.
MY LIFE AT HULT
The atmosphere at Hult was really friendly and my classmates and team members helped me to see theworld from different cultural perspectives. Some modules focused on "real-life strategies" from variousindustries. I helped organize the Venture Capital summit and attended as many of the networking eventsas I could manage.
A GLOBAL HULT EXPERIENCE
My home campus was Boston but I rotated to Shanghai for Module D, then London for Module E. Ichose these locations because Boston, Shanghai, and London are three major educational centers.Global Campus Rotation gave me the opportunity to study, live, and experience different cultures. Youcan't compare going on vacation or a business trip to living in a country for two months. I was able tomeet people from different countries and backgrounds, and I had the chance to get to know even morepeople when I rotated to Shanghai and London; all of which expanded my global network.
MY CAREER
My MBA from Hult has definitely helped me achieve my career goals. I'm currently working outside of mynative country, which I don't think would have been possible had I not completed an MBA at HultBoston. In the past I had never attended a career fair; Hult provided me with guidance on how toapproach this type of event which has been very valuable.
My Journey with Hult
WHY HULT
Several factors made me single out Hult. First its global reach: different global locations, including
London and Shanghai, two cities that I had always wanted to explore, with plans to keep expanding.
Second, Hult's practical education vision and model. I had always thought of an MBA as being more
applicable than academic, and I felt the action learning model at Hult provided the clearest path to a
practical insight into management.
Third, the dedication offered by Hult's staff throughout the application and recruitment process. Through
my Admissions Officer (who was a great guide!) I developed direct empathy with Hult.
Fourth, since my background is in social and public policy, I felt the Global Case Challenge (now known
as the Hult Prize) would offer a great balance between a business pro-profit management focus and
socially responsible outcomes. This was particularly important and appealing to me.
Fifth, Hult's steady climb up the academic rankings—the school has consistently built its reputation by
effectively utilizing its marketing and academic resources.
MY LIFE AT HULT
Hult is a friendly environment. I find there is a spirit of cooperation and desire to all learn from each other
at Hult, rather than an individualised or competitive atmosphere.
In the classroom, I am enjoying many of my modules, even those I would never have expected to! For
example, I thought I didn't have the "heart" for Finance, but Professor Soufani teaches the subject in a
very applied and pragmatic way, like when he explained the financial crisis comprehensively in one
session.
My extra-curricular activities include my membership of the Women's Business Club and soon the
Consulting Club, which I think will prove relevant for my next steps. I am organising a Latin American
Business Conference. I am also involved in sports at Hult through the Tennis Club.
On and off campus I have an active and varied social life with classmates I have befriended from my
course, especially my MBA Module A team! We have established a cultural exchange tradition of
gathering to try food from each of our countries together.
A GLOBAL HULT EXPERIENCE
I chose the Shanghai campus because I am convinced that understanding China will give me a great
competitive advantage both now and in future. I considered full immersion, living and experiencing the
culture, the customs, the way they do business, and a little of the language, essential to this end.
I am confident opportunities like the Action Project at a leading firm in Shanghai will open endless doors.
I consider London a cultural city that has a lot to offer both personally and professionally. It is home to
most of the large firms I have always dreamed to work for, as well as small and medium-sized firms with
lots of potential to grow.
MY CAREER
I will explore the world of management consulting after graduation, as I think this field of work will best
exploit my current skills. Eventually I plan to start my own business and become a high-level government
advisor, and I view the MBA from Hult as the Rosetta Stone I require to achieve my goals.
What I appreciated most about Hult's community is that everybody is willing to help you out. Hult is not
only about challenging one another; you can also count on making long-lasting friends.
I decided to do my best to enhance my network through Hult, so I joined lots of off-campus activities.
For example, I was a member of the NEBLAC (New England Latin American Business Council) and supported them in organizing networking events; I also went to Harvard and took a marketing course, which was a great opportunity to meet professionals already working in Boston. I was taught by inspirational faculty members like George Kastner, whose Global Management teaching communicated great messages that were useful not only in our professional lives but also for our personal lives.
Hult Career Services
Hult will help me achieve my career goals, by developing relevant hard and soft skills that can be then
successfully applied in a work setting.
During my MBA I gained employment as Director of Supply Chain Operations at MarkaVIP, a leading ecommerce business in the Middle East. My role is to oversee the staff and processes of the supply chain and logistics operations across the Middle East; it has been a rewarding and fulfilling experience so far.
The Hult MBA allowed me to apply and develop skills relevant to this career. Interacting with professors in a classroom environment and studying the MBA curriculum helped me develop a range of skills that can be applied in any walks of life. The curriculum was not only stimulating but also taught me how to better manage and plan my workload accordingly. I was able to improve my analytical and communication skills which serve me well in my career.
Hult Career Services helped me secure my job by coaching me through CV and interview preparations. Thanks to the one-on-one coaching I learned how to quantify past achievements into measurable results, which allowed me to better communicate the skill sets I can bring to a job. I am grateful for the opportunity to have completed the Hult MBA and to have had access to a supportive teaching faculty
that helped propel me into my current role.

Why I chose Hult?
I was looking to gain more systemic financial knowledge of real business cases to enhance my general
management skills in a global environment, but at the same time I wanted to complete my MBA as
quickly as possible.
The Hult MBA program is an intensive one-year program, which allowed me to return to my career faster
than with a general two-year-MBA program. Moreover, Hult is an international business school with
students from so many different countries and alumni living all over the world.
"Rotating to Shanghai was just phenomenal—it made my MBA experience unforgettable."
WHY HULT
I was attracted by the fact that Hult had great international reach and that there was the option to rotateto Hult’s other campuses and rotation center—all in very interesting cities.
MY LIFE AT HULT
The atmosphere at Hult was amazing. Everyone got along well and in general there was a relaxed sort of‘work-hard, play-hard’ vibe.Outside of class I played soccer, we set up an informal team and sometimes played against otherschools. It was a great way of strengthening ties with our other classmates.A lot of my classmates have ended up becoming good friends right up until today and the socialactivities such as dhow cruises or BBQs were also really memorable. The most inspirational faculty member for me was Professor John Kerry. He was so real and not afraid togive himself emotionally to his teaching. He was really inspiring which made for super fun classes andunforgettable memories.
A GLOBAL HULT EXPERIENCE
I rotated to Shanghai, somewhere I had never imagined I would go, so it was really a once-in-a-lifetimeopportunity. I gained insight into a culture I knew nothing about and gained a lot of confidence from livingin a new city for a couple of months and really feeling that it had become like a new home for me.Rotating to Shanghai was just phenomenal—it made my MBA experience unforgettable.
MY CAREER
I’m currently an Alumni Association Chapter. The benefits of being a member of the association are beingable to leverage the network—Hult students are doing some amazing things and it makes me proud tostill be very connected to the school. Thanks to Hult I now have a colleague in pretty much every cornerof the world. At Hult I developed a sense of confidence in my business capabilities, as such I’ve now launched myown marketing consulting firm.
"The focus on real-world relevance at Hult is important: my Professional Career Development class was particularly useful."
WHY HULT
I was attracted to Hult by the opportunity to be able to interact with people from all over the world. Hult'splace in the business school rankings, as well as its London location were also contributing factorsbehind my decision. I was also in a position and time in my life where I wanted an educational andacademic challenge.
MY LIFE AT HULT
At Hult you experience a mix of hanging out with your best friends and being immersed in some of thehighest quality academic experiences currently offered. The level of relationships and contacts I havebeen able to develop at Hult is unrivalled. This atmosphere is the reason that Hult is so appealing to me.It makes education exciting, but it also transcends this, making your network robust solid and engaging.Operations Management was also an excellent course and I found the professor, George Kastner, to bevery inspirational. His own life serves as proof that life is what you make of it. He is someone who speaksalmost seven languages, and has lived and worked all over the world. His practical outlook on life andthe efficiency with which he applies it made me want to be more like him. I certainly took a lot of notesabout life in that class.Extracurricular but complementary activities played a large part in shaping my Hult life. I was acontestant in both the Hult Prize and Google Adwords contest. Moreover, I held executive roles. I was Creative Director of the InnoTech Summit. This involved working directly with company's Founder andManaging Director to conceptualize ideas and strategies to effectively represent the InnoTech Summit'sidentity online and on print. We managed a team of digital marketing and public relations managers toensure the company has a strong presence and following across all social media platforms. I oversawprogrammers to ensure the website was consistently up to date, and effectively delivering engagingmessages via graphics, copy, and video.I was also Founding Member and Creative Manager of the Global Society for Women in Business. This isa professional group for women at Hult International Business School providing educational andnetworking opportunities, enhancing professional profiles and providing events, speakers, and activitiesto help champion future female business leaders.
A GLOBAL HULT EXPERIENCE
I have decided to remain in London during rotation in order to actively pursue my next employmentopportunity. However I can confidently say that I now know someone from every part of the world. Howamazing is that? They are my friends, like a family, and form my global network. I can also say they makeme a much better well-rounded and multicultural person; that my perceptions and preconceptions ofcultures, people, habits, mindsets have taken on completely different meaning-a REAL meaning.During these last eight months I have traveled the world via handshakes, awkward double, triple, (andsometimes) and quadruple kissing moments, home-cooked international meals, liquors of the world, andthe pleasure of being able to learn business through unique experiences, mindsets, and upbringings. So Isuppose I have traveled around the world, through each of the people I been so blessed to have met atHult.
MY CAREER
The focus on real-world relevance at Hult is important: my Professional Career Development class wasparticularly useful because of its real-world application and the tips it offered on how to effectivelymanage your career or change careers. After graduating I would like to work in a creative organization as a Creative Director, or designer. I feelthat the MBA from Hult gives me increased professional credibility and also provides me with a proactivemindset which will help me to operate and thrive in new environments.
WHY HULT
I chose Hult for two reasons. First of all for the international aspect: I wanted to study with people fromall around the globe, and to be able to rotate to different continents and experience different businesscultures. Secondly, the practical teaching style attracted me. I wanted to learn from professors with reallifeexperience rather than just theoretical knowledge.
MY LIFE AT HULT
The atmosphere in the classrooms is great. All of my classmates contribute to the class discussions andare interested to hear other's ideas. Insights from my fellow classmates have taught me just as much asthe teachers have. The atmosphere on campus is also great, everyone is here to learn and createopportunities, and that makes for a great place to make friends. So far two faculty members have really stood out for me. First of all professor Tommy Weir, he used somany of his experiences from doing business in the U.A.E. and the rest of the Middle East to teach usabout Management Skills. You could feel his passion and in-depth knowledge about this market seepthrough in all of his stories. My most memorable moment at Hult so far was the moment Robert Chater, the Executive Director of theDubai campus, announced that my Hult Prize team had won the internal competition. The excitement inthe room, and the support I felt from the staff and all of the students, was overwhelming. Our team put alot of passion and time into working together and creating our idea—we have become a very closegroup. We are looking forward to the regional stages of the Hult Prize, where it will be an honor torepresent our school. Two of the clubs my fellow students set up really spoke to me, and I joined them. The first is SpeakClub;we meet on a weekly basis to practice public speaking and discuss different speaking styles andinfluential speeches. The second club is WELL (Women Empowerment & Leadership League). Theyorganize a lot of speaker events and workshops to break down barriers and help women have success intheir futures.
A GLOBAL HULT EXPERIENCE
I plan to rotate to Shanghai to learn about doing business in Asia. I have visited several Asian countriesbut feel that studying there for a few months will show me what the people and culture is like in moredepth.
MY CAREER
I feel that Hult, and particularly participating in Global Rotation, will be beneficial for my future career. Iwill be able to demonstrate that I know about the large differences between living and working in acountry like China, as compared to my home country, the Netherlands.
"What better way to learn about global business than at a business school that is changing the game and operating on a global scale?"
MY LIFE AT HULT
The atmosphere at Hult is always very positive, busy, and energetic. There are always teams working together all over campus, or students having a break and a chat in the canteen.
My most memorable moment so far has been the first school party, the end of Toolbox party. After the first few weeks of studying and being in class together it was a lot of fun to see all my classmates dancing and having a drink together.
One of my classmates came up with a great idea: the Hult Challenge—a competition for MBA students to develop and present the best proposal on how students can help Hult to become an even stronger brand. I decided to join his team and am very excited to be part of this and to contribute in a positive and
hands-on way to the school.
The faculty at Hult is all very impressive, but the most inspiring faculty member so far has been Agnes Nairn, our International Marketing professor. She really knows the subject, both from an academic but also a very practical perspective.
WHY HULT
I chose Hult because I was attracted by the chance to take part in an Action Project and the Hult Prize. I also wanted to take advantage of Hult's Global Campus Rotation Program.
MY LIFE AT HULT
My time at Hult has been very memorable both in London and on rotation in Dubai. In London I learned how to adapt to other cultures and business environments and I believe that this helped me win the Action Project in Dubai.
I learned so much from the professors at Hult. I admired Terence Tse who taught us finance: since I am from an engineering background, I had no clue about finance and accounting but his lectures were very accessible and inspiring, so much so that finance actually became one of my favorite subjects. He was very enthusiastic and made everyone contribute to the class.
A GLOBAL HULT EXPERIENCE
Hult is a very friendly environment and I feel as though I am able to speak to people from all over the world under just one roof. Once I needed some input for a project about Brazil, a country I have never been to before; in just one phone call to a Hult friend from Brazil, my work was done. People at Hult are so friendly and accepting of who you are.
I chose to rotate to Dubai Campus since I was planning on working in Dubai, a city close to India, which meant I could visit my family whenever I wanted. My experience rotating to the Dubai campus was excellent and many things came together for me, from securing an internship at the Hult Dubai campus, to winning the Action Project, and of course making very good friends for life.
MY CAREER
Overall this one year at Hult was the best time of my life and in this very short space of time I have
learned more than in the rest of my years put together.
In just one year at Hult I have made connections across the world. Even though in future I may end up living back in India, if I need help from any part of the world it's just one Facebook message and one call away. At Hult I worked closely with more than 25 nationalities in just one year!
WHY HULT
I was attracted to the opportunity to learn in the most multicultural environment in modern academia. Since Hult is a younger school compared to most of the other business schools in the Financial Times rankings, I felt that I could play an active role in building the Hult brand during my time here.
MY LIFE AT HULT
The Hult faculty bring with them very different perspectives which makes for a very stimulating atmosphere. I won't forget when Professor David James, who teaches the Understanding the Customer class, ate cat food to drive home the idea that great marketers must know their product and understand how to communicate the value of their product! He constantly brings in real-life applications to what we are learning in class in order to help us think about how to tackle current challenges and provide fitting solutions.
In similar vein, I have found the Digital Media class rewarding for how applicable it has been. I have had the opportunity to work on two Integrated Marketing Strategies and pitches for two real-world companies.
Currently I help to lead the Hult Lifestyle Club: Fashion and Luxury, the Hult Marketing Club, and the Hult
Finance Club. I am also a member of the Hult Consulting Club. Being involved at the leadership level of
multiple clubs and balancing our course load has been quite challenging. However, this has been an
excellent training ground for leading multicultural teams toward accomplishing organizational goals.
A GLOBAL HULT EXPERIENCE
The atmosphere on campus is really vibrant. At Hult, you will always be exposed to someone and something new because there are over 135 nationalities represented across the campuses. In the classroom, the atmosphere is extremely intellectually stimulating because everyone brings a different perspective from a different part of the world that they are willing to share.
MY CAREER
My post-Master ambition is to return to the U.S. to work in the consulting industry. After working for three to four years I hope to then pursue an MBA.
WHY HULT
What attracted me to Hult and its Master Program was the Global Campus Rotation program; Hult offers me the unique opportunity to rotate to Hult's other global locations during my year of study.
MY LIFE AT HULT
The atmosphere on the Hult campus, as well as in the Hult classrooms, is professional but easy-going at the same time. I thoroughly enjoy my time on campus and I know a lot of students do as well.
The most rewarding course I have found so far has been Global Economics. The professor Dr. Mark Esposito, is able to hold the entire class's attention and gives us readings and assignments which perfectly relate to our studies. He also adds an interesting twist on Global Economics and allows us to think out of the box in regards to connections between Global Economics and other aspects of study. This course has allowed me to broaden my knowledge of economics, which will help me in my future
career in law.
Outside the classroom, I am currently the Master of International Business's Hult Student Association representative for the cohort. I thoroughly enjoy working with Hult staff and faculty, as well as the students, to help make Hult an even better school.
Some of my most memorable moments at Hult thus far have been the bonding excursions and night-out events which Hult hosted. We gain so much by bonding with classmates outside of class. Hult organizes a lot of events that allow us to do just that.
A GLOBAL HULT EXPERIENCE
I plan to participate in the Global Campus Rotation and will rotate to the Shanghai campus to develop my Mandarin skills. I hope to achieve a better vocabulary in Mandarin Chinese, as well as become better acquainted with social and cultural aspects of China, which will aid me in my future studies in corporate international law.
MY CAREER
My post-Master ambition is to attend a Top 20 law school in the United States to obtain a JD
My Hult Experience
My favorite professor at Hult was Jorge Menendez, who led our advertising class. I remember being impressed by his tenure at P&G and all the lessons and client stories he shared from his career, some of which I'm reminded of now that I work in marketing myself. What I liked most about him was his critical reasoning. When my team presented our advertising projects, they were received with audible favor by our classmates. Professor Menendez saw through the production quality and asked critical questions about our ads' message, and sometimes revealed that we were off-target. I like to think he showed us a kind of tough love.
I found the advertising component of my course to be the most rewarding, since it allowed me and my team to exercise our creative side. What appealed to me most was actually being able to create mock print, radio, and TV ads instead of simply reading about them. Production was very grassroots, so learning by doing was a great component.
The main extracurricular activity during my life at Hult was just playing guitar with others in all of those gorgeous London parks.
Today, I keep connected with old classmates across the world through social media, but am also planning to make a trip back to London and visit old classmates there, plus attend the Hult Global Alumni Summit next year.
On a larger scale, my time at Hult exposed me to some very driven and entrepreneurial people whom I'd like to work with again soon.
As busy as I have been in picking up my career after attending Hult, I still feel tightly connected to the school. Hult always keeps in touch, and has invited me to Hult meet-and-greet events in Chicago—it's
always a fun experience, meeting all these bright, driven, and intrepid people who are looking to take
themselves in a new direction.
"To be part of a community where you matter is essential to understanding that each individual can make a difference. This is the atmosphere at Hult."
WHY HULT
An undergraduate degree is essential for success in business, but a Master degree provides the necessary push to stand out in this competitive world. Hult is an institution that fully understands this reality.
The three-part curriculum structure of the Master in International Business, “Learn, Experience, and Action Project” (LEAP), perfectly coincides with my academic and vocational ambitions and educational beliefs. Despite my having a strong undergraduate degree in Finance and Management, the business world is continuously changing.
To take advantage of this change and grow with it is all part of the curriculum offered at Hult. With my general business knowledge and passion for traveling, I am hungry to gain hands-on experience and exclusive networking opportunities. By combining all this, Hult has allowed me to extend my business knowledge even further.
MY LIFE AT HULT
There is never a dull day at Hult. If you take a moment to sit and observe the dynamics of a day at Hult, you will see a campus full of energy and spirit. Breakout rooms are constantly filled with groups collaborating on a project, individuals seeking a quiet place to study, or merely friends socializing.
Classrooms are filled with a diverse student body, and thus diverse ideas and opinions. To have this exposure has forced me to challenge my preconceptions and ideas, as well as allow myself to ask the questions I once was hesitant to voice. To be part of a community where you matter is essential to understanding that each individual can make a difference. This is the atmosphere at Hult.
I have always been a team player, yet even when I was assigned a team project during my undergraduate studies, I never truly understood the dynamics of a good team. Today, after completing Module A at Hult, I have learned to be both a leader and a team player. By being given assignments that require long hours and hard work, or by taking charge and becoming a team leader, my learning has reaped the benefits both professionally and personally. But it must be said that not everything goes according to plan in life, and when working with a group, I have had good days and difficult ones. To be able to overcome these obstacles and accept situations, I have grown to be a more flexible and adaptive individual. Dissertation Writing was fun
Hult is thriving with clubs and extra-curricular activities. With these opportunities given to us, I have had the pleasure of participating in the Movember Campaign and managed to have Craves, a local company, sponsor one of the bake sales. Even if I listed and specified each and every activity it would not truly reflect the breadth and benefits of the opportunities I have experienced here in Dubai.
A GLOBAL HULT EXPERIENCE
Saudi Arabia is the country I call home and eventually the place I hope to build my business career in. While historically conservative, Saudi Arabia is undergoing many changes and doors are beginning to open for women in the business world. It is inspiring to see businesswomen pursue their dreams and play influential roles in Saudi society. In pursuing a master degree at Hult, I want to not only fulfill my dreams on a global scale, but also back home where the playing field is much more difficult for women.
MY CAREER
At the current stage of my Master program I am equipping myself with practical business knowledge and a cross-cultural understanding of the marketplace. By interacting with global companies, making strong business connections, and developing my own business ideas and solutions, I am able to share these business perspectives with others. My post-Master vision comes from my enjoyment of working with people and analyzing business structures. I hope to influence business attitudes and perspectives in Saudi Arabia. Many people have not acquired the mindset that allows them to open their business to consultants. I hope to break through this wall with the skills and expertise that I will gain from this program.
"I was attracted by the option of studying on three different continents."
WHY HULT
I was attracted by the option of studying on three different continents. Hult teaches newer, more cutting- edge management concepts, and you can study emerging fields such as social entrepreneurship.
MY LIFE AT HULT
The campus features state-of-the-art technology and infrastructure. It's a vibrant, international, young, and creative environment in which we can see directly how our learning will help us in our future job roles. For example, in Financial Accounting, we are taught the critical things to look out for when managing a company.
The professors bring a huge amount of experience, engaging everyone in the class with their out-of-the- box thinking. Some, like Suneel Upta can take a subject like accounting and make it interesting by relating it to real life. He has a really engaging style.
Outside of the classroom, I have been involved with Hult Operations, Hult Student Association, and the Supply Chain Club. I have experience with leading large groups in the past, and I wanted to apply that experience here and act as a bridge between students.
A GLOBAL HULT EXPERIENCE
I want to rotate to Boston as it is a financial and academic center, and London as it is a financial hub and home to the banking industry.
MY CAREER
I would like to work in financial services, and I think that the strategy, marketing, and finance knowledge and skills I have gained at Hult are the things that will most help me in the future.
"Hult was a natural choice for me, considering it is the world's most international business school."
WHY HULT
Hult was a natural choice for me, considering it is the world's most international business school and has maintained a top position in the world rankings. I decided to do an MBA because I believe that it is the best way to develop and strengthen my skills in order to boost my career.
MY LIFE AT HULT
The atmosphere on campus is usually very lively, friendly, and welcoming. Even though the MBA classroom tends to bring out student's competitive spirit, we can really count on one another's support to achieve our shared objectives.
I recently became the VP of Hult Entrepreneurship Club. The main reason for this was to share and develop my expertise in business development and gain an insight into how entrepreneurship works in China. I am in charge of the administration for the club and aim to provide professional administrative support and ensure the effective organization of presentations, guest speaker events, and so forth.
I found the Corporate Social Responsibility course particularly beneficial. At the beginning of the class, I was a little apprehensive about this subject. However, the way that Professor Lawrence led the class, her ability to involve students, and the way she organized the teaching of the content, were all very impressive. Her class forced me, and I believe the rest of the cohort, to really consider CSR as an essential part of an organization instead of just another marketing tool.
A GLOBAL HULT EXPERIENCE
Hult's student body is made up of so many different nationalities and people from diverse backgrounds, and everyone is very respectful towards cultural differences and divergent point of views.
In order to help us develop our professional network and understanding of business practices in China, Hult organizes lots of presentations, lectures, and networking events with professionals based in Shanghai. These events are of real value to our understanding of the Asian market.
MY CAREER
I was working as an IT Channel Manager with an American Fortune 500 company based in Dubai when I came to the conclusion that I had reached a ceiling in my current position, and was looking for increased responsibility in a more challenging environment.
I would like to be based in Shanghai and become Regional Vice President for an international IT company to support their growth in Asia. Hult has given me a broad understanding of business and management issues, such as cultural understanding and decisions driven by performances that will assist me in my role as Regional VP. In particular, I look forward to enhancing my expertise through courses such as Strategic Management and Cross-Cultural Management.
In addition I would like to explore electives open to Hult alumni such as Asian Economic Integration and Business Strategies.
